EMEA Entrepreneur. Beres Seelbach and Philipp Khale, Co-Founders, ONOMOTION (ONO). In recent years, Europe’s automotive industry has been seeing a rapid emergence of disruptive innovations in e-mobility solutions that evolve and adapt to growing urbanization and advanced technologies. Thus the adoption of advanced e-mobility solutions to enhance urban logistics in cities plays a pivotal role in being environmentally friendly, emission-low, and helps achieve the country’s sustainability goals. Like the Berlin-based ONOMOTION (ONO) company in Germany, where the e-cargo bike revolution leads the way in “improving the quality of life in cities by rethinking urban logistics.”
ONOMOTION was co-founded in 2016 by Beres Seelbach (CEO), Philipp Khale (Co-CEO), and Murat Günak (CDO). Through specially designing and manufacturing ergonomic and durable e-cargo bikes, the founders wanted to give back to the world through enhanced and modernized urban logistics solutions. By providing sustainable, chargeable, safe, fast, low-emission, and disruptive technology through innovative e-mobility solutions for delivery van alternatives, ONOMOTION (ONO) envisions “cities, districts, and neighborhoods to feel closer and better connected,” thus shaping urban development for a better future.
Therefore in this article, we shall delve into exploring the world of Germany’s Motor Vehicle Manufacturing company based in Berlin. We shall uncover the journey of ONOMOTION with its founders in offering today’s world sustainable e-mobility solutions for sustainable urban delivery that make urban logistics more environmentally friendly.
Beres Seelbach and Philipp Khale – The Creative and Innovative Disruptors in the E-Mobility Industry:
ONOMOTION (ONO) – a motor vehicle manufacturing company in Berlin, Germany, was co-founded in 2016 by Beres Seelbach (CEO), Philipp Khale (Co-CEO), and Murat Günak (CDO). On a mission to improve the quality of city life by redefining urban logistics, the founders came up with an idea that aligned with the country’s sustainability goals. Therefore, by designing and manufacturing the ONO e-cargo bikes as an innovative disruptor that enhances urban logistics and operations, an eco-friendly, sustainable, and emission-free alternative was created for the future of e-commerce logistics.
Beres Seelbach, the Chief Executive Officer at ONOMOTION (ONO), has been a leader and pioneer in e-mobility solutions for 10+ years. ONO was previously known as Tretbox, and was created to “rethink and reshape modern urban transportation.” With a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and Economics (Wirtschaftswissenschaften), Beres previously founded Lautlos in 2009, as a distributor of EVs and electric fleet management and maintenance services and in 2016 he alongside Philipp and Murat founded ONOMOTION (the ONO e-cargo bikes) redefining urban logistics in cities.
Philipp Khale, the Co-Chief Executive Officer is also a Light-Electric Vehicles Expert. Holding a Diploma in Vehicle Technology (Fahrzeugtechnik) from the Technische Universität (Technical University), the Co-CEO has much experience working with GreenPack Mobile Energy Solutions developing charging infrastructures. Thus with the combined experience of working with e-mobility solutions, Beres, Philipp, and Murat encompass over 30+ years of sharing the same goal of “making our cities, districts, and neighborhoods, a much cleaner, quieter, and enjoyable place in the world.”
ONOMOTION (ONO) – Traveler-Focused and Sustainable:
ONOMOTION (ONO) manufactures emission-free e-cargo bikes making them sustainable delivery van alternatives and disruptors in innovative e-mobility solutions. Making deliveries to customers more efficient and eco-friendly, the ONO e-cargo bikes can quickly and safely arrive at your doorsteps.
By prioritizing the drivers’ comfort, the ONO bikes have been designed specially and ergonomically to make them durable and reliable. For this, the cockpit or the driver’s space of the ONO is improved to make long-distance deliveries and travel more comfortable and fun. By also establishing a sustainable focus as ONOMOTION’s main product goal and vision of a cleaner, quieter, and enjoyable environment, the ONO e-cargo bike suppliers are 97% from Germany or neighboring countries in Europe. Thus by eliminating waste production and reducing harmful CO2 and GHG emissions produced, the Cradle-to-Cradle (C2C) principle has been adopted and integrated into the company’s operations. This approach also allows the ONO bikes to access low-emission traffic zones across Germany and the EU, encouraging and fostering an emission-free community and smart city logistics.
The ONO e-cargo bike alternatives to delivery vans are integrated with high-tech and durable electronics like the RFID Chip and GPS Tracking, enhancing functionality, efficiency, customer service, and environmental impacts through inventory management, real-time asset tracking, security in theft prevention, data collection, route optimization, fleet management and maintenance, security in theft-control, and bike performance and battery management. The e-cargo bikes have a 2M³ cargo volume capacity, hold around 200 kgs of load, and have a modular design system allowing for immediate changeable, and swappable components. The batteries are also quickly replaceable cutting down on charging time. All of these features improve and elevate processes of the modern urban logistics and operations.
ONOMOTIONS’ familiar customers are mostly from the Courier Express Parcel (CEP) Industry. The companies that have partnered with ONOMOTION and are using the ONO e-cargo bikes for carrying out their services are – Wall, a German street furniture and global outdoor advertising company; DPD Germany, Europe’s largest parcel delivery service network; The Mediengruppe Magdeburg, a regional network of companies from the media and services industries; Hermes, for last-mile deliveries; and Mail Boxes including the Berlin-Adlershof location for deliveries.
Moving forward, ONOMOTION (ONO) along with its founders and professional team at the company, look to expand its motor vehicle manufacturing to accommodate passenger transportation as well, bringing more sustainable and accessible e-cargo bike presence in Germany, in neighboring European countries, and other countries across the globe.
